This fee primarily covers the shipping to perform a ECU firmware update. Typically our service dept. will require BOTH the ECU and the Thermostat Controller back together for firmware flashing and testing before shipping back to you. 

This service is primarily for customers with pre-OTA (Over-the-Air) update capability to make their units OTA firmware update compatible to receive future firmware updates through our phone app.
